President non-profit organization- during my tenure as president of SBTS, I managed many projects, including production of special events such as the Carpinteria Triathlon (twice), the El Capitan Triathlon, the Gaviota Pass 15K run and the Nine Trails Ultra distance run. I managed production of collateral materials, and the Santa Barbara Triathlon Team magazine. Race management involves securing sponsorship for the event, coordinating the permitting and volunteers necessary to support the race. Donations are solicited for awards, bulk mailings are made, prerace sign-up and fee collections are made, race day entertainment and food are contracted, finish times are recorded, results published and mailed and more. These non-profit events gave me valuable experience in working with diverse groups to get a job done.
